10/29/2023 0 Comments Homer simpson cow chicken thoughts![]() Modern Marge confronts her Homer about how his desire for someone new started the whole fiasco. Willie drags away their bodies (and Maggie's), rejoicing that now he's got stew for the winter. Bart rejoices about being the last of the Simpsons, but he doesn't get to celebrate for long, as Lisa knocks him off the tree branch he's on with a slingshot, killing him. She botches the jump and dies on the landing. Lisa comments that she and Bart are now in charge of the house, but Bart jumps out the window rather than take on chores, and Lisa follows because she doesn't want to clean all this up herself. Grandpa turns the lights on, and the ghosts are revealed- the Simpsons from The Tracey Ullman Show. However, he continues with 'The power of Chrysler compels you!'. Apparently he mistook it for the real deal. The Simpsons light a lot of candles in the living room, and Homer demands the ghosts show themselves in the name of the book he's holding- The Car-Lovers' Bible. He demands he be put down, at which point the bed (with Homer in it) promptly falls to the floor. The invisible person caresses Homer, and the bed starts levitating towards the ceiling. Someone slides into Marge's place in bed- however, that somebody is invisible. Marge leaves to go make up the couch for him, and Homer goes back to sleep. She's right- Grandpa Simpson is in bed with them, because he got caught in their sheets after sleeping in the dryer. Later, when they're in bed, Marge says that she thinks that they aren't alone. Marge notes that the milkshakes have vanished. ![]() He tries turning it off, but it doesn't work. Lisa says that the TV will only play Married. Homer goes downstairs, and Marge tells him that someone left chocolate milkshakes on the counter. The message vanishes and is replaced with 'Three exclaimations? That's excessive'. He's annoyed that the blood is asking him for a favor, and writes 'NO!!!' on the mirror in toothpaste. Homer goes to the bathroom to wash up, and sees the words 'Help Me' written in blood on the mirror. In this take off of A Clockwork Orange as well as mixing virtually every film by Stanley Kubrick, Moe narrates his life as a former gang leader, their break-up and reorganizing the gang for one last bash up. Turns out, he's being punished for how lame his comics were.īart and Lisa go through the portal, the other end of which is at a pentagram in Mr. Bart pulls Hot Stuff out of the portal, and wonders how he got there. 10/29/2023 0 Comments Kite surfing wetsuit![]() At this temperature we recomment not skimping on a wetsuit, you never know when you might have to swim in and a warmer suit can make the difference between life and death. Cold Water Wetsuitsįor water temperatures roughly in the range from 50 to 58 degrees you'll want to go with a thicker suit like a 4/3 or 5/4mm. Also be sure and grab a beanie, gloves, and booties in a 2 or 3mm thickness, they really do make a big difference. Spending more means features such as fully glued and sealed seams that will keep you warmer longer so the suit can be used in a bigger range of conditions. If you don't really plan on kiteboarding much after the air drops below 60 degrees or so, less expensive suits will work fine. Some higher end suits have ankle vents to keep water from building up in your ankles from the constant spray while kiteboarding and they are great for keeping this annoying problem from happening. If you live in the Southern US this will be the only suit you really need unless you plan on riding in those few days when the air temperature drops into the low 50's or below. Cool Water Wetsuitsįor water temperatures roughly in the range from 54 to 64 degrees, we would recommend a 3/2mm or 4/3mm wetsuit. 1.5mm or 2mm tropical booties will keep your feet warm and protected in this temperature range. These suits are great if you are just heading into early fall or late spring kiting season and need something just a little more than your swimsuit and rashguard to keep you warm. This range includes the springsuits with either short arms, short legs, or both. The chest zip provides better protection against the cold water flush than a back zip, but the suit is more challenging to get in and out of.įor water temperatures roughly in the range from 60 to 70 degrees and depending on the air temperature, your cold tolerance, and activity level, you could be comfortable in anything from a neoprene topper up to a 3/2 fullsuit. Front Zip - Front zip wetsuits have a zipper in the chest near the neck, so you step into the suit and then pull the neck over your head. Some nicer suits have a flush guard to stop this cold water from entering in the back. The back zip suit is easier to get in and out of, but the disavantage is sometimes water can get through the seams and zipper and nobody likes the flush of cold water down your back. The zipper runs down the spine and has a long cord attached so you can open and close the zipper yourself. Back Zip - The back zip wetsuit is the most common type of wetsuit. The interior taping adds durability by reinforcing the seam and preventing water from entering. Sealed and Taped (Glued, Blindstitched and 100% Taped) - This seam is glued, blindstitched, and then taped internally.Blindstitching only goes partially through the neoprene, so no holes are poked all the way through the neoprene. Sealed (Glued and Blindstitched) - The neoprene panels are glued and then blindstitched.Flatlock - This seam will lie flat against your body with no discomfort and may let in a little water.Thicker neoprene provides more warmth but less flexability, so areas like your core get more warmth and your arms and legs that are more mobile have thinner neoprene.Ĭlick here to check out the full selection of wetsuitsĬlick here to check out the full selection of bootiesĬlick here to check out the full selection of glovesĬlick here to check out the full selection of beanies For example, a 3/2 has 3mm neoprene in the core area and 2mm in the arms and legs. The numbers correspond to where in the suit that thickness of neoprene can be found. ![]() The thicker the neoprene, the better the insulation and the numbers are the thickness of the neoprene in millimeters. Neoprene has many tiny air pockets inside which provide insulation from the colder water outside the suit while trapping the warm water and heat close to your body. This layer of water is warmed by your body which keeps you warm. Wetsuits work by trapping a thin layer of water between the wetsuit and your skin. With today's wetsuit technology you truly can ride in extremely cold weather for hours and have a blast. Staying comfortably warm and being able to move makes kite sessions so much more fun. It is one if not the only item you will buy that can be used year after year. The better more expensive suits are warmer, more flexible, have better seams, are made from higher quality materials, and will let you ride longer without feeling cold. Super stretchy, warm, and amazingly light weight. It is amazing how much suits have progressed in the past 5 years. Having the right cold weather gear can make the difference between getting in some amazing sessions and progressing, or making excuses and cutting sessions short. 10/29/2023 0 Comments Market watch amc squeeze![]() Shares of AMC surged almost 3% in the same period. And in the back yard we found a lovely children's playground and a new fully equipped BBQ. And it is fast! The villa was fully renovated. WiFi is reachable even at the pool/porch garden area. Gardens have grown creating a magnificent landscape. But now coming back from our new visit I just have to say PERFECT AGAIN and even better! Many things have been improved. Wile reading the recent reviews I became kind of skeptical for our new visit. I highly recommend this villa.…Īs a returning client I am usually very demanding, especially when the first visit was perfect. The company went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. The location is very quiet so totally unsuitable for rowdy young groups looking to drink. The sea was warm enough to swim in during the day and at night under the moonlight. It was very easy to swim in the dense water and we all swam out to the rocks about 300 m offshore without any effort. ![]() Sea The sea is very salty and was as flat as a mill pond with no tide. I strongly advise getting some beach shoes that you can walk on the pebbles and swim in them. The first 15 m of the beach is gritty sand with another 30 m of large pebbles. The villa has placed an umbrella and sun beds on the beach for your personal use and a wooden walkway that takes you right to the water’s edge. Beach The beach is about 50 m from the villa. We caught the bus to Rhodes Town which cost €7.10 but took 2 hours along the coastal road so we took a taxi back which cost €77 and took about 50 minutes. ![]() We had a taxi from the airport which was organised by the villa for us which took about 50 minutes and cost €90. The supermarket can be reached via the very busy main road to the left of the villas (750 m) but I preferred to walk the coastal road route which is longer but traffic free. All the restaurants were very quiet apart from Stefanos (not sure why as I thought it was a little overrated). None of them had a great choice of vegetarian dishes other than salads. My personal favourite was Petalas that server a wonderful stifado and lovely strong cocktails. There are 8 restaurants within half a kilometre of the villa. Location The location is very quiet indeed. Because they had no one arriving that day they allowed us to stay until 5pm without charging us any extra. We asked the villa if they could extend our stay after checkout at midday as the taxi was picking us up at 5pm. They supply plenty of towels and service the villa every four days. There’s also an oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, coffee percolator and toastie maker. The kitchen contained everything you could think of including a fridge stocked with ice, a bottle of wine, bread, butter, cheese and ham enough for a snack on a late arrival. One of the single bedrooms had a view out onto the back garden whilst the other only a ceiling skylight to the outside. Downstairs from the living area are two more small single bedrooms with a shared bathroom which also had a shower over the bath. There was also a shaving mirror and hairdryer. The bath was a Jacuzzi bath but we never tried that feature out. The en-suite bathroom has a small sink and a shower over the bath. It is spacious with enough room for your clothes and luggage. The master bedroom is upstairs via a marble staircase. The air-conditioning unit keep the area cool and was very quiet for such a unit. The open plan living area and kitchen is well laid out. Villa We stayed in Villa The villa is beautiful to look at.

Visit this site for a brief summary of the arteries. ![]() Also, please keep in mind that individual variations in circulation patterns are not uncommon. However, we will attempt to discuss the major pathways for blood and acquaint you with the major named arteries and veins in the body. It is beyond the scope of this text to name every vessel in the body. Another approach that works well for many students is to create simple line drawings similar to the ones provided, labeling each of the major vessels. This simple approach has proven effective for many students in mastering these major circulatory patterns. You might envision being inside a miniature boat, exploring the various branches of the circulatory system. For example, the celiac trunk gives rise to the left gastric, common hepatic, and splenic arteries.Īs you study this section, imagine you are on a “Voyage of Discovery” similar to Lewis and Clark’s expedition in 1804–1806, which followed rivers and streams through unfamiliar territory, seeking a water route from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. Anastomoses are especially common in veins, where they help maintain blood flow even when one vessel is blocked or narrowed, although there are some important ones in the arteries supplying the brain.Īs you read about circular pathways, notice that there is an occasional, very large artery referred to as a trunk, a term indicating that the vessel gives rise to several smaller arteries. You will also find examples of anastomoses where two blood vessels that previously branched reconnect. For example, the left subclavian artery becomes the axillary artery as it passes through the body wall and into the axillary region, and then becomes the brachial artery as it flows from the axillary region into the upper arm (or brachium). Like a street that changes name as it passes through an intersection, an artery or vein can change names as it passes an anatomical landmark. ![]() Another phenomenon that can make the study of vessels challenging is that names of vessels can change with location. Moreover, some superficial veins, such as the great saphenous vein in the femoral region, have no arterial counterpart. In contrast, some vessels closer to the midline of the body, such as the aorta, are unique. For example, you will find a pair of femoral arteries and a pair of femoral veins, with one vessel on each side of the body. Where differences occur in branching patterns or when vessels are singular, this will be indicated. These pairs of vessels will be traced through only one side of the body. Figure 20.22 summarizes these relationships.įigure 20.22 Interaction of the Circulatory System with Other Body SystemsĪs you learn about the vessels of the systemic and pulmonary circuits, notice that many arteries and veins share the same names, parallel one another throughout the body, and are very similar on the right and left sides of the body. In addition to these shared functions, many systems enjoy a unique relationship with the circulatory system. This includes the generalized and more specialized functions of transport of materials, capillary exchange, maintaining health by transporting white blood cells and various immunoglobulins (antibodies), hemostasis, regulation of body temperature, and helping to maintain acid-base balance. ![]() Virtually every cell, tissue, organ, and system in the body is impacted by the circulatory system.
